Dr. Suresh Chandanmal Jain

Dr. Suresh Jain is a Gastroenterologist from Pune with 16 years of clinical practice and speciality in the field of Therapeutic G I Endoscopy. His areas of specialization include Variceal Endotherapy by Sclerosant, Banding and Loop Ligation, Foreign Body Removal, Expandable Stenting for Inoperable Esophageal and Biliary Malignancies, ERCP- Bilary and Pancreatic Endotherapy, Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy, Endoscopic Pseudocyst Drainage and Endosonography (EUS).

Dr. Jain is an alumnus of Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai with MBBS and MS (General Surgery) qualifications to his credit. He has acquired a Fellowship in Therapeutic Endoscopy in a two part training under the mentorship of renowned experts, Dr. Amit Maydeo and Dr. Vipulroy Rathod. The first training part involved Basic Diagnostic GI Endoscopy inclusive of Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy and the second was hands on training experience in Therapeutic Endoscopy that included Variceral Endotherapy, Stricture Dilatations and expandable stenting, PEG, Polypectomy and Therapeutic ERCP for biliary and pancreatic diseases. He futher enhanced his scientific background with an advanced Endosonography training at University of Alabama and University of South Carolina, USA.

Dr. Jain has an extensive experience in medical training. He has previously served as a Lecturer at J J Group of Hospitals (Mumbai) and Jehangir Hospital (Pune). He is presently engaged in teaching activities at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College (Pune) which he joined in 2002. Currently an Assistant Professor and Head of Endoscopy at the institute, Dr. Jain has completed 13 years in the teaching sphere at the given centre. Dr. Jain who is involved in significant research work has showcased his papers in ASICON conferences.

His centres of practice in Pune are Digestive Endoscopy Clinic, Jehangir Hospital and Noble Hospital where his aforementioned expertise can be availed of with a prior appointment.
